implant technology
miniaturization and the human body:
implant technology
Ranging from artificial eye lenses and heart defibrillators to artificial knees and breast implants, a wide variety of artificial technology has been and is still being implanted into the human body.
Many implanted medical devices are crucial to the improvement of the patient’s quality of life, usually physical health. However, some devices that are not quite necessary for survival can arguably boost one’s mental health.
Research shows that the future will bring not only smaller devices and more efficient ways of implanting, the technology will become so advanced as to bring superhuman qualities even to people who are not patients.
Will humans still retain their original biology or will everyone become something closer to robots in the future?
